West Newton is one of the older of the 13 villages within the city of Newton. It lies on the northwest side of Newton, essentially bisected by the Mass Pike! West Newton’s business district is found on the north side of the Pike along Washington and Watertown Streets where you are able to catch MBTA bus service and the commuter rail. There are restaurants, municipal services, and a cinema in this area. There is also a Whole Foods market less than a couple of miles down Washington Street. Housing prices in West Newton run from a modest $600,000 to $6,000,000… only a difference of a zero!

A prime example is Chestnut Hill. It actually shares its name with a neighboring area in the Town of Brookline and in the city of Boston.
